Guestbook for Evelyn A. Olson

Dale and Cary (Carlson) Pearson
There are so many ways that we are going to miss Aunt Evelyn! With glimmers in her eyes, she would tell us stories from her childhood that included her brother, our Dad. Tucked in those stories, were Swedish words that gave us a link to our Scandinavian heritage, for which she made us proud. When we were children, she would come to the farm and play polkas on the organ, setting many feet to tapping. We will miss stopping at Aicota to see Evelyn. She faced her later years with a special dignity, always pleasant and frequently participating in the social activities. With pride and a special love for her family, she would show us recent pictures of them and update us on our cousins' lives. We will forever consider ourselves blessed to have had Evelyn as our auntie!! We extend our deepest sympathy to all of her family and friends!

I loved spending time with Evie. She always had a story to tell or a memory to share. I will miss her quick wit, quick smile but most of all the twinkle in her eye. She was quite a lady!

So many fun memories of your Mom. She always had a smile and time to spend listening to you. She was such a strong lady. Thinking if you all.

Harvey & Judy Blomberg
Thinking about Evelyn brings to mind many happy memories. Shopping at the Ben Franklin & being greeted by her happy personality was a treat. She was a great Lions member with her husband Don. They were a special couple. When we saw her at Aicota she had that great big smile. Quite a lady. Harvey always asked "How are you Evelyn" she would always reply "Not bad for an old lady."

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I always enjoyed visiting with Evie. We go back a long way! We were classmates in grade school & Aitkin HS. Our mothers were at Aicota at the same time. Evelyn was so good about helping our mother with her 'hair care' when we couldn't be there. God Bless all who are left to mourn. We will miss her!

Muriel and Frank Kingsley
We will miss Evie when the 'Johnson Chix' play at Aicota as she always wanted us to play her favorite schottische. God bless Evie and her family.

I always enjoyed my visits with Evie (and her kids).....there will be many things to miss about her! My sympathies to you all.

I have enjoyed visiting with Evelyn so many, many years...not only in her professional work but also during her stay at Aicota. We have laughed, hugged and genuinely enjoyed a beautiful friendship. Evelyn....REST IN PEACE or as I would say in German...Ruhe in Frieden and when you have a chance be sure to give the Judge a big hug for me. Evelyn..YOU WILL BE MISSED.God Bless

Evie was one of my favorite people at Aicota. We loved to tease each other, and she was friends with my mom & dad and we would reminisce about when they were alive. To know Evie was to like her!! She liked to tell things like they were.. and then she would give you a sly smile. You were one fine lady Evelyn and you will be missed by many, especially me. Rest in peace my friend.

Evelyn was a wonderful person. We knew her from when we were little kids going into the Ben Franklin store and she always remembered us when we grew up no matter where she would see us. She will be missed!
