Guestbook for Alice Jane Hudson

Pamela Heft Andell
As many who remember Alice Hudson, I too fondly remember a beautiful and sophisticated music teacher. She was impressive and had a movie start quality about her. She certainly left her mark on many and contributed greatly to Aitkin.

Shirley Gravelle
Mrs. Hudson was my music teacher in grade school. I remember a cute and crazy song she taught us called "The Frog Song." Mrs. Hudson was a much appreciated pianist at our church for years. Thanks for the years of service.

Bob Broman
Alice Griswold Hudson was a masterful choir instructor, even dealing with a group of adolescent tenors. She was caring for my folks as their life came to an end. An inspiring teacher and friend.

Sherman Plepler
Her song has ended, but her melody will forever linger on.

She was a master teacher. I was lucky to be a member of her choir. Thanks a lot Mrs Hudson, I will never forget you. Raymond Hyytinen 1953

Alice was not only a great neighbor to Pat and I when we lived on Cedar Lake but she was truly one of my best friends a person I loved and trusted. I will miss the coffee hours we had together and my children and I will certainly miss her homemade bread and Lefsa. She will be missed by us for a long time to come. I know after seeing her the Thursday before she died she is in a better place. God Bless her family during this sad time. Love, Mickie

I remember Mrs. Hudson (that is always what I called Her) as a very caring friendly woman. She made efforts to always ask about family. She was someone who loved animals and I appreciated all she did for HART. I am so sorry for your loss Sue, John and Joni. She was a wonderful woman.

I will miss Alice's definite opinions and her kind heart. I think often about the fishing trips to Canada with her, Bill, Dianne and myself. We had lots of fun! My condolences to Sue & John, your mother was a great lady.

Robert (Bob) Wold
Alice was a great teacher. In her later years she became a very good insurance client, with her own idea how things were to be done and the results she expected. Always had cookies available.

Alice was one of my first customers when I started Early Bird Lawn Care 15 years ago. She was always very supportive during all of our growing pains and challenges and didn't hesitate to let me know if things weren't done quite right with her lawn. She always took time to spend a little bit of time chatting to see how we were doing. As the business grew and I hired people to help, she got to know the guys, too. I don't know how many flowers I have in my flower gardens as she sent many home with me and the guys as she was thinning hers. Several times during a mowing season, Alice would just give me a call to let me know how nice the guys were to her and how much she enjoyed visiting with them and appreciated the great work they did each week. She said, she didn't just want to call to complain about something that wasn't done, but to let me and the guys know how much she appreciated them. All of us at Early Bird Lawn Care are going to sincerely miss Alice!

Georgia Jean Johnson
I remember Alice as a worker trying to bring what was right and just to this community. I will always remember how hard she tried. Condolences to her family and friends.

Alice always had words of encouragement. A resolute woman with a kind heart, Alice's dedication to music, area health concerns and animals enhanced the quality of life in Aitkin.

Gwen Dickey
I didn't meet Alice until in the last five or so years, but during our visits I found she was a very interesting and talented woman, both musically and as a community leader. I will miss talking with her. Rest in peace, Alice.

John Newstrom
Alice taught my voice and my heart how to sing, in both the high school choir and the First Lutheran Church choir. A neat lady who will be missed by many.

Ron Pearson
There weren't many professional musicians in Aitkin through the years - she was a bright light. Condolences to John and Sue.
