Guestbook for Dennis J. Landborg

Mike Asleson
I was in the 1977 State Patrol Academy. Dennis was one of three staff officers. We knew he had to play the part of a drill sergeant but you could always see his compassion and friendliness shine through. He would play the part but on a run he would visit with you like you were his peer. He was a decent and honorable man ... an example of what a trooper and peace officer should be. I never heard ANYONE say a negative thing about him which is quite an accomplishment. I was saddened to learn of his passing. I knew he was ill and am so very sorry that his life ended before it should have. My sympathies to his family and close friends.

Reading all the memories of Denny DEFINATELY describes him . He always had a smile and would take the time to visit with you. He loved showing his garden to you too. I am so sorry for your loss. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. PATTY.

I first met Dennis when he stopped me (Paula) to remind me I was driving too fast. Nicest trooper I ever met! Later I got to know him with his stay at Aicota. Still the nicest gentleman I ever met. The world is missing him but I'm sure the angels are rejoicing. Our prayers for your famuly in this time of sadness.

I met Denny on an extended canoe trip through Canada in 1970. During the weeks of travel, he was a thoughtful and caring companion. His humor often much appreciated. His successful and memorable life was based on these traits. I will miss his laugh. My thoughts go out to his loved ones as we say goodby to Denny.
