Guestbook for Lenore Closuit

Julie McNamee
My thoughts are with you Fay, during this sad time. I remember her on her walks past my parents' house, always had a smile on her face. Dr. Closuit was my doctor my whole life. Both are very special people. With sincere sympathy. Julie (Kellerman) McNamee

Jane and family. Sorry that both your gramma's passed away this year. Your grandfather was our family Dr too, delivered my first baby 60 years ago. I just seen her 2 weeks ago when a group from Aciota came down to Fireside in McGregor for lunch. And I remember her working at The Pantry in Aitkin also. Nice lady. Comfort to you and your family.

This women made me want to become a nurse. When ever we had to see Doc, and she was working, she made this little girl not so afraid. She had the warmest smile and her voice calmed my fear. Dr Closuit delivered all 6 of us. Was our family Dr. And she was almost always at his side in the clinic, or we lucked out and she was there when we were. Thank you for being you Mrs.C

Lenore was always welcoming to us, the neighborhood kids, and the family generously shared their lovely spot on the lake. She helped create many great childhood memories. Condolences, Fay.

We have so many memories of our kids growing up and spending time with Alicemary and Charlie's girls when they would return to Minnesota from Alaska. We always got together with them out at the Closuit cabin and we shared meals and activities with Lenore. (fishing, swimming, trips to Paul Bunyan, and Charlie's great firework shows) Lenore would be there watching our wild kids having fun. I will cherish these memories together. She was such a fun honest person to chat with and I will always remember her. Rest in peace. Sharon and Daryl Hanson

What a treat it was to have Lenore as our neighbor! From hearing about her win/loss ratio on the Twins games with John, her happiness about the dock being out on Farm Island to her love of spicy foods, it was always a joy to have a conversation with Lenore. We will miss planting her a garden each year. She was a Southern Lady to the end! She will be missed by all. With love and prayers, Jeremy & Jessi

I have beautiful memories that will never fade from my heart of Summertime at the Closuit cabin. We read old Archie comics, roasted marshmallows, lit sparklers, laughed endlessly, caught minnows, and collected pine cones (this is where I learned the Closuit Family's valuable de-pitching technique with mayonnaise). Graceful Lenore always smiled as she watched children run, giggle and play by the exquisite Minnesota lake out her window. She is watching still from her heavenly domain and will always be. I am extremely grateful for the memories I have of childhood with the Closuits. Lenore, my dear I look forward to seeing you again at the lake in Heaven. Julie & Jane: My Alaskan sisters...I miss you and I hold you close to my heart at this difficult time. Your grandmother was a pretty special lady.

My thoughts are with you Fay during this sad time. Your mom was a joy to visit with at all times & such a inspiration to our community. She & your dad will never be forgotten. You were so blessed to have her with you for so many years. With sincere sympathy, Wendie Bunnell

Fay, deep sympathy & comfort sent your pray on the loss of her Mom. I saw her last at the Glory Church Christmas Luncheon one week ago--she looked happy & beautiful, as always. I also saw her frequently at Journey North Church. Bless you & your family during this sad time. It may seem more difficult this time of year, but she lived a full life. I recall seeing her smiling, friendly face at the Aitkin Clinic when I had appointments with Dr. Closuit 48 years ago. Blessings to you all of you.

I will miss the great conversations shared at the lake side & I will miss her delicate laugh and her amazing sense of humor. Grandma is like no other woman I have met and she will be missed very much. I know she is watching over us now with Grandpa and Dad. Heaven has gained another angel.
