Helen was such a good friend and former neighbor when we first moved to the Palisade area. I enjoyed working with her on quilts at Bethel. I took our granddaughter, Amisty, with me to help tie quilts many times. One day when we showed up there, Helen showed up with a pair of mittens which she gave to her, Amisty was so pleased with them that she called them her "Helen mittens." Helen was a wonderful friend to hang out with and spend your time creating warm quilts for those in need. We had so much fun working together and enjoyed each others company as we worked on a project for the betterment of the Palisade community. She will be missed, but certainly NOT forgotten.
